More Info: Endangered Species
What endangered species should I be looking for in the Seacoast? There are a range of species that are listed as endangered or threatened at the state level, and some that are federally listed as well (under the Endangered Species Act). This means that it has been determined that they need some level of protection in order to survive.
In the coastal areas of this region, you may see the following species. Since they are threatened or endangered however, it is likely a rare occurrence. If you do see them, please make a report under the Endangered Species category with as much information as you can, including the specific location and any photos you can take.
